"It's not that my team is playing poorly, it's that the referee has a plan. Just like in politics..." Alfaro declared after his debut as manager of a third-division team.
As part of his very particular method for officiating matches, Enrique "Ranchos Locos" Alfaro will distribute an 800-page manual among the players to justify their defeats, in addition to installing cameras everywhere to review replays from various angles until he finds any penalty that was missed.

His next tactical move is rumored to be declaring that VAR is being manipulated by outside forces, while also launching a referendum among sports fans demanding matches be replayed when the result goes against him.
Some fans of the team he manages have already begun chanting "Referee sellout!" from the start of matches, as a way of putting pressure on players to avoid sending off... even if they come in with their cleats first.
